About our "Active Parenting Today" Online Groups

variety of tools and skills for effective parenting in today's hectic society,
including, but not limited to, skills for effectively communicating and teaching
responsibility, instilling values and self-esteem, and using effective, age-
appropriate disciplinary techniques.
Prior to the start date, participants of the program receive in the mail the
following materials: a parent’s guide, CD-Roms containing videos for class
presentation, and a private User Name and Password for accessing the
online interactive program features. These special features include a multi-
level discussion board, weekly chat sessions for the duration of the 6-week
program, and access to a follow-up discussion group. Participants also
benefit from daily, 24-hour access to the online activities and lessons of your
registered class, led personally by HFP creator and Active Parenting
Educator, Amy Denekamp.
To participate effectively, it is required that registrants have Internet access
and a computer with a CD-Rom drive. Participation on the discussion boards
can happen from any remote location. Please note that the real-time chats
will take place on-line at a select time based on the Eastern time zone (EST).
