Additional Programs and Workshops:
If you are looking for quality parenting education programs for yourself or
to provide to parents and child care providers in your organization or
group, then look no further! Healthy Family Parenting will work with you
and/or your organization to provide our fun, interactive educational
programs for parents and child caregivers, either in a traditional setting or
via the internet, as available.
HFP also offers additional programs in the form of personalized workshops
and seminars for organizations and groups serving parents, families, and
child care providers in Bergen County, New Jersey and Rockland County,
New York. For information about these tailored programs, and/of if you can
provide a site for any of our workshops, please contact HFP with the details

To register directly for either or both of the above workshops,
please contact Wanda at the Rockland Parent Child Center at
wanda@rocklandparentchild.org or call her at 845-358-2702, ext. 12.
She will go over the workshop schedules, fees, directions, and
modes of registration with you (credit cards are accepted).
Each class will meet for 3 weeks consecutively beginning on
Thursday, May 1st, starting at 7:30 p.m. (sessions will last between 1

Active Parenting Now in 3 Workshop
Active Parenting Now in 3 is a three-week program for parents of
preschool and elementary school-aged children, particularly ages 5-12. This
program provides a variety of tools and skills for effective parenting in
today's hectic society. Parents will learn how to use positive communication,
teach responsibility, use effective discipline techniques, and provide children
with plenty of encouragement to increase self-esteem. Participants of the
program receive a parent’s guide/workbook and helpful resource materials
for use in class and for future reference. See details below for

1, 2, 3, 4 Parents! Workshop
1, 2, 3, 4, Parents! is a three-week workshop specifically for parents of
young children between the ages of 1 – 4, but is also a great preparation
course for new and expectant parents and for early childhood caregivers.
This program addresses such topics as basic parenting skills and styles,
developmental stages, encouragement of positive behavior, and the use of
effective, age-appropriate disciplinary techniques. The information is
provided in basic language and is fun and catchy to appeal to all audience.
Participants of this program receive a parent's workbook and helpful
resource materials for class and future reference. See details below for
